Chapter 4j

James studied the text again. In the current climate it had become difficult to determine friends from foe. The political world seemed to have been pushed out of kilter and things were zigging and zagging back and forth alright! No country really knows where it stands anymore; but surely the Americans, as unpredictable as they had become, wouldn’t have an interest in this little Devon town. James could think of no plausible reason for agents to be here. He must be missing something.

The message said ‘authenticated at the FBI’, not ‘by the FBI’. Surely, there was a reason for that. And why did it add the word ‘below’? That wasn’t needed, was it? James looked puzzled by these odd details. His ‘go to’ when baffled was to research the information meticulously – guides, books, timetables. So, James spread out what he had on the table next to his map and studied it all carefully.

Surely, it couldn't be that simple could it? James gathered the info and rushed to help Sarah.
